About Us
The Morristown-Hamblen High School East Band Boosters is a non-profit parent organization that supports the ensemble both musically and financially.
The band boosters manage the concessions for all home varsity, junior varsity, and freshmen football and basketball games during the school year, as well as assisting in other fundraisers. As with any band program it takes a considerable amount of money to keep the program running smoothly. The band department receives a certain amount of money from the Hamblen County School Board budget and most of this money is allocated for specific expenditures, including marching and concert pieces, marching drill and music arrangements, and also routine maintenance on the school owned instruments. The band must pay for the transportation costs to and from every away game and each band competition. Each year the Band Boosters raise funds to help offset the expenses associated with the band program, including music for field shows, band camp, instructors, concerts, transportation costs to all events and the purchase of new equipment, instruments and many other necessities. We act as the support system of the band providing assistance when and where it is required. We volunteer and donate our time and talents in many areas: as chaparones for events and games, pit crew to move equipment to and from the field, managing uniforms (sizing, cleaning, etc), we offer our support to the program to enable it to grow and excel. It takes each of us to accomplish this monumental task. Support the East High Band with your time and talents get involved today. If you are interested in working in the concession stands for any of these functions please let us know!
Booster Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month (August-May) at 6 p.m. in the band room.
Please make every effort to attend our meetings!
Your support of this organization is critical to the band's success!
