About Us
The Morristown-Hamblen High School East Band Boosters is a non-profit parent organization that supports the ensemble both musically and financially.
The band boosters run concessions for all home varsity, junior varsity, and freshmen football and basketball games during the school year, as well as assisting in other fundraisers. As with any band program It takes a considerable amount of money to keep things running. The band department receives a certain amount of money from the Hamblen County School board budget, most of this money is allocated for certain expenditures, such as band music, drill and maintenance on instruments. The band must pay for transportation cost to and from every away game and each band competition. Each year the Band Boosters raise funds to help with cost associated to the band, including music for field shows, band camp, instructors, concerts, transportation cost to all events and the purchase of new equipment, instruments and many other items not listed. We act as the behind the scenes team taking care of the band. We volunteer & donate our time and talents to many areas, as chaparones for events and games, pit crew to move equipment to and form the field, uniforms, we offer our support to the program to help it grow and excel. It takes each of us to accomplish the task set before us. Support the East High Band with your time and talents get involved today.
